In Badgie, video runs through the whole life of the club: coaches record and analyse clips with drawings and voice notes in the app, send them to the player or family, store them in the club gallery organised by player, and reuse them in drills, courses, badges and reports. Golf adds AI swing analysis, TrackMan shot videos and full-screen video analysis on the web.
What a platform should do with your club's video
Almost every coach films on their phone. Filming is not the problem; what happens next is. Clips stay in the camera roll, get sent one by one through chat and are lost a month later. A useful platform should solve four things: analysing and explaining the clip, getting it to the right person, storing it against the player, and reusing it in daily work such as drills, courses and evaluations. Here is how Badgie does it.
1. In-app video analysis for any sport
Video analysis in the coach app works for every sport. The coach records on the spot, picks a clip from the camera roll or pulls one from the club gallery. On top of the video they draw lines, arrows, circles, rectangles, freehand strokes and text, each one anchored to its second. They can record voice notes over the clip and change the playback speed. Then they send it to the athlete, who sees it in their app with the drawings and audio overlaid. A step-by-step article (in Spanish) is here: video analysis in the app for any sport.
Full-screen video analysis on the web (golf)
Golf schools also get web-based video analysis: the coach works with the mouse on students' videos, both those recorded with the app and those imported from TrackMan, using line, arrow, circle, freehand, text and angle tools. It has a filterable library, sends the analysis on its own or inside a note, and lets you download the video with the drawings burned in. Today the web version is available to clubs with golf.
2. Uploading and sharing photos and videos
From the app, the coach picks photos and videos from the camera roll (iCloud included). The app compresses and uploads them and assigns them to one or several students or a whole class, filtering by Smart Tag. The student is notified and the club can also notify them on WhatsApp. Every item has a short link that opens on the web or in the app with a player, and the notice reaches the student or their guardian by email and WhatsApp.
3. Club media management
The Media module automatically gathers every photo, video, YouTube link and PDF of the club, each linked to its students and coaches. On the web there are three shortcuts:
- Bulk upload: drop a batch of photos and videos and tag them student by student.
- Group photo: the same item for many students, selected by Smart Tag.
- Send media: by email in six languages and by WhatsApp.
Each student and coach profile also has its own media tab, and students or families see in the app the gallery of everything the club sent them, mixed with their video analyses. More (in Spanish) in club media management.
4. Video inside daily work
Coach notes with video and audio
The coach sends the student a session note made of text blocks, photos, videos and a voice note, and can embed video analyses. The student reads them in their notes tab.
Drills with video
Each exercise in the library can hold up to 12 photos, videos or YouTube links. In the web studio, an exercise can "live in video" instead of on the tactics board, and the student sees it on the drill page.
Video courses
The club organises videos, PDFs and YouTube links into courses, assigns them to classes or students and tracks progress. The app remembers the minute where each student stopped, and AI can produce an automatic summary of each video by transcribing the audio and analysing the frames.
Video in badges and reports
Each badge accepts a video link (YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion or Twitch) and, when awarded, attached photos or videos that go to the gallery. Sport reports have a media section on the web and in the app. It fits naturally with digital badges: the moment of achievement is on record.
Photo annotation
Not everything is video: coaches can also draw lines, arrows, shapes and text on a photo and attach it to a training note.
5. Golf: AI swing analysis and TrackMan videos
In golf, video turns into data:
- AI swing analysis: the player films with framing guides or uploads a clip and, in 1-2 minutes, gets the detected view, key swing moments, faults with their confidence and a priority, backswing and downswing tempo, recommended drills, and an overlaid skeleton when body-pose measurement is available. In Spanish: AI swing analysis.
- Coach-requested analysis: from a video analysis or the student's folder, the coach runs the same engine.
- Public swing link: the player shares it on WhatsApp and anyone can open it without the app or an account.
- TrackMan videos: when sessions are imported from studios with cameras, each shot's video lands in the student's gallery and in web video analysis. In Spanish: TrackMan in Badgie.
- Public player gallery: the club decides which photos and videos appear on the public profile.
Golf students can also upload their own photos and videos to their profile gallery, plus an introduction video. The whole ecosystem is at Badgie Golf.

FAQ
Does video analysis work for football, tennis or padel?
Yes. Video analysis in the coach app works for any sport. The full-screen web version, with the angle tool and download of the annotated video, is currently available to clubs with golf.
Do families need to install anything to watch a video?
Every item has a short link that opens on the web or in the app, and the notice arrives by email and WhatsApp. With the app, the family also has the student's full gallery.
Can students upload their own videos?
In golf, yes: students upload photos and videos to their profile and film their swing for AI analysis. In other sports, video is uploaded by the club or the coach.
Where can I learn how to use it?
The Badgie wiki has guides for each module.
