Broadstone Equestrian

Broadstone Equestrian opened in 2014 and offers equestrian training and clinics for all levels and abilities. Programmes include weekly and residential training, as well as clinics with external instructors. The centre is located in Ingbirchworth near Penistone, between Huddersfield and Sheffield.

The indoor arena, built in 2020, measures 66m by 30m and has an Andrews Bowen pro wax surface. Indoor arena hire usually includes a full course of BS approved show jumps. There is seating for around five spectators, and tea and coffee facilities are available in the arena. The outdoor arena measures 56m by 25m, has the same type of surface and includes a spectator viewing box.

Cross-country facilities include an 18-acre schooling field. The larger cross-country course has over 70 fences ranging from 70cm to over 1m. A separate five-acre introductory cross-country schooling facility has over 20 fences ranging from 40cm to 70cm. A grass field contains a 20m by 40m dressage arena and a full course of show jumps.

Facilities are available for hire, including a 16m round lunge pen with an Andrews Bowen pro wax surface, which can be hired for groundwork or lunging. Groups with more than two horses must contact the venue before booking the introductory cross-country field.
